Open Your Eyes!

No, Violate the Dress Code hasn't celebrated it's 2nd Birthday just yet, but when we do, all will be invited to the party!  In this short period of time we have learned so much.  We are continuously updating our website. As the newest incarnation of the site launched in mid June, it opened up our world and allowed us to do many things that we were restricted from in the past.

One thing we strive to do is reach out to our fans to see what they like and dislike. It's very hard to please everyone, yet we always try our best!!  As our apparel line expands, it has become more difficult to describe and distinguish the range of fabrics we choose for our items.  Some are form fitting or extremely light weight while others are warm and comfy.  If you're like most of the Violate crew, you are very visual.

With that being said, in order to give our loyal customers a clearer and more sharpened view of an item, Violate is going to start using high definition video to display the fabric from all angles.  We feel video tells the story much better than a photo or reading the description and also allows one to see how the material falls and fits on the model.

This new project kicks off soon with our newest pair of leggings and women's sweat pants.  Violate the Dress Code will be launching the new items for the holiday season. Be sure to keep your eyes open and check out the site, with shopping list in hand, of course!  See all our newest products at www.violatethedresscode.com

Thank you to everyone for their continued support in making Violate the Dress Code what we are today.  We couldn't have done it without our incredible fans and committed customers.

Music to my ears...

The past few weeks for Violate the Dress Code have been amazing and hectic to say the least. We released our Hoodies, selling out of the first run almost immediately. A week later we had a free giveaway for my birthday. A few days ago was just the sweetest bit of icing on the cake. I was sent a photo from a man some of you may know and if you don't I STRONGLY urge you to check him and his band out. Matt DiRito, of POP EVIL!

As you can see here, Matt is wearing Violate's Courage Tri-Blend shirt! In my mind this is hands down, the greatest to happen to Violate yet! So many of my photo compositions and designs for Violate are inspired by music. Just look at our Original "Let the Music Take Your Soul" design, a skull listening to music! To me music is the most influential art form, substantially more so than even photography.

"Let the Music Take Your Soul"

So when I saw Matt's post on twitter ( @MattDiRito ) shouting out my little company, my jaw dropped. To me that would be equivalent to a Arnold Schwarzenegger giving a shout out to The Terminator franchise's biggest fan.

Give a listen to Matt's band Pop Evil's song, "Deal with the Devil". Simply put the song is badass!
